Not sure what size bike you need?
Choosing the correct bike size is one of the most important steps when buying a bike. A bike that fits properly will be more comfortable, easier to control, and more enjoyable to ride.
1. Measure Your Height
Stand barefoot on a flat surface with your back against a wall. Keep your body straight and measure from the floor to the top of your head. Enter your height in centimetres (cm) into the calculator. For the best accuracy, ask someone else to help measure you.
2. Measure Your Inseam
Your inseam is the measurement from the floor to your crotch area. This measurement is often more important than height because it helps determine the correct frame size for your legs.
To measure your inseam:
Stand barefoot with your feet slightly apart.
Place a book between your legs, similar to sitting on a bike saddle.
Measure from the floor to the top of the book.
Enter this measurement in centimeters.
3. Select Your Bike Type
Road Bike
Best for smooth roads, fitness, commuting, and longer-distance riding. Road bikes are designed for speed and efficiency, with thinner tyres and a more forward riding position.
Mountain Bike (MTB)
Best for trails, gravel, dirt paths, and uneven surfaces. Mountain bikes offer more control, wider tyres, and a more comfortable upright position.
Hybrid Bike
A great all-round option for beginners. Hybrid bikes combine features of road and mountain bikes and are ideal for cycling paths, commuting, casual rides, and general fitness.
